(1869-1938) Industrialist. In 1909 he organized the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. with a work force of 17 people, where he served as president until 1932 and the next three years as chairman of the board, by which time the company employed 40,000 including branches in foreign nations. He was instrumental in developing rubber-growing plantations in South America, the Philippines and Liberia. This item is a 2.5 X 3.5 signed card. There is some slight smearing on the signature and some age staining..
