Apollo 12 was the sixth manned mission in the Apollo program and the second to land on the Moon.
Apollo 12 launched from Cape Kennedy on November 14, 1969 and landed on the moon on November 19, 1969. This fantastic item is a great color photo that has been professionally double matted with the VINTAGE signatures of Navy Captains Charles 'Pete' Conrad (1930–1999), Richard F. Gordon and Alan L. Bean. The overall size is 14x18 and was assembled using all acid free materials. The signatures were obtained by U.S. Army Sergeant Major James LeMon serving at the Pentagon on February 5, 1970 when the Apollo 12 crew came to receive thier awards. LeMon has also included a Department of Defense news release which was issued to mark the ceremony and a typed letter explaining how he obtained the signatures. This is an incredible vintage piece of history!
