This item is a Document from the Civil War dated April 8, 1865 signed by first lieutenant Jos Dean of the 5th US Colored (African-American) Regiment Heavy Artillery at Vicksburg, Mississippi. The letter is an order for supplies such as shirts, blankets, boots, etc and measures 7.5x9.5. There is very little age wear and yellowing. Rare item!
