(1890 - 1942) Cartoonist. Starting as a aports cartoonist with the 'Chicago Herald', in 1919 he originated the character Barney Google. The strip was one of the most popular of the 1920's. This item is a hand drawn pencil scetch of Barney Google signed by DeBeck. This page measures 4.5 X 4.75 and has some age discoloration and creasing.
