"THE ARGENTINE FIRECRACKER". Argentinean Exotic Dancer aka Annabella Battistella. Best remembered for her involvement in a scandal that brought down Congressman Wilbur Mills, the powerful Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. In 1973 Mills, who was married, began dating Foxe who worked as a stripper at the Silver Slipper. Late one evening the Washington police pulled over Mills who was speeding with his lights out. Foxe, who was bruised and hysterical, ran from the car and jumped into the Tidal Basin, while a drunken Mills threatened the police. Some weeks later, an again drunken Mills appeared on stage with Foxe in a Boston strip joint. The incident forced Mills to resign and seek treatment for alcoholism.
