(1919-2008) Explorer/adventurer and the first to climb Mt. Everest in 1953. Quite uncommon young 11x14 photograph of Hillary enjoying a warm drink and rest on a climb, hand signed by Sir Edmund Hillary who on May 29th, 1953 at the age of 33, he and Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay became the first climbers known to have reached the summit of Mount Everest.
