On April 12, 1945, he automatically became U.S. president after the death of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Elected president of the USA in 1948, for the period 1949-1953. This item is a signed First Day Cover. It is also signed authentically by Alf M. Landon and Thomas E. Dewey. It is most probably secretarially signed by Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard Nixon and it has an autopen signature of Barry Goldwater.
