(1879-1958) Prolific Novelist, Short Story Writer, Childrens Book Author, etc. In 1912 she met Maria Montessori and the two struck up a collaboration including 'A Montessori Mother' (1912), 'The Montessori Manual' (1913) and 'Mothers and Children' (1914). During WW I her experiences in French clinics and camps were later written about in three volumes of short stories. In the 1920s and 1930s she regularly published successful novels and short stories, often involving family issues (Her Sons Wife etc.) In the 1950s she was active in the environmental movement, childrens and educational issues. This item is a signed 4x6 book weight portrait.
